Everything Looks Perfect From Far Away...
Hello from New York! Things are going pretty well so far. Our red eye flight had tons of turbulence so I got two hours of sleep. I ended up spending the rest of the time watching reruns of Angel and Charmed off of TNT since Virgin America gives free Dish Network access. I like that one of the episodes of Angel was one of my favorites of season one (Expecting) and the other was one of my least favorite (She). Charmed was some episode from way past when I stopped watching so I was just really confused. I occasionally debate rewatching that whole series and watching the seasons I never saw for the first time but I doubt it'll be as good as I thought it was in eighth grade...
The plus side of this was it helped me adjust to the time difference and needing to be productive pretty well. I keep falling asleep at like midnight and waking up at eight. Which is really fucking strange for me, let me tell you.
Yesterday we mostly ran errands and set up for Wendy's graduation party. And picked up people from the airport. We've gone to a couple of nice dinners, but as this is a family visit more than anything else, we haven't done anything super touristy? but I'm okay with that since I've been to New York three other times before. Tomorrow I'm going to hang out with petitebelette and stainofmylove and I'm dragging them to see a museum exhibit about David Bowie so that should be pretty boss.
For today I have the apartment to myself right now because everyone else is at Wendy's actual graduation. But there wasn't enough tickets which I'm okay with because I hate sitting through actual graduations. That does mean I need to run errands and walk their dog and stuff, but whatever. I can deal.
Speaking of dogs, it's killing me to be away from Fynn. It's a little sad. But I've called and texted Katrina a few times and she says he's doing well so far. And she texts me pictures of him, so there's always that.
So far so good. I managed to find time to watch the Community finale off hulu which made me happy. Pretty badass. I still need to catch up with TVD and a few other shows, but I'm pretty sure that's going to wait for now.
Alright. I guess it's time to get dressed and do the tasks I was assigned. I guesssss.
