Argh! She killed her mother not setting the house on fire, but zapping her to death? This is maybe the only memory I would thank the Haitian for erasing it...

At first I thought the way Elle forgive Sylar was a little rushed, but then I re-read your first chapter and you wrote Elle as confused, not angry, and the all "he is her only life line" is the justification you give, so now it works for me. ;)
Maybe they will have a little confrontation about what happened on the beach sooner or later?

Only a question: her memories are back, but she is always the messed up sociopath we love, right? or he heal that too?

I thought about the house fire thing, but ultimately I chose that route because I did want to plant early signs of her more violent tendencies. I mean, I don't ever think she was truly a sociopath (her love for her father disproves this) but she's definitely always going to be a little off kilter. I think even with her memories back she's never going to be a completely normal, functional person, and why would we want her to be that way? I have some fun plans for when she and Sylar confront Angela :)

As for the confrontation about the beach, that's definitely to come. Just for now, I would think with all her memories coming back at once, she'd be rather overwhelmed, and she's just trying to take it all in. She hasn't really had the chance to get angry about it yet.

I really like how each memory eventually leads up to the beach scene and they each show how much she's been through...kinda explaining why she is the way she is.

And then he realized it, what he should have realized long before. He was her only lifeline.

I think the most powerful sentence in this chapter.

I'm glad that came across. I don't know, as sadistic and evil as Elle can be, there's definitely a part of me who sees her as a victim of her circumstances. Had she been given some real guidance at a younger age instead of being used by her father, who knows how she would have turned out.

Thank you :) I was particularly proud of that line.

I'm sure Elle talked him into it too. Begged and flirted.

I'm glad you think so, I was actually a little bit nervous about this chapter.
