I have received another letter from my brother. All seems to go well for him. He is new enough to the business world that I expect he would let me know if there were any problems. I am glad that he is doing well, however, it is also somewhat depressing to see that I am not needed for what I was trained to do.
He says that Father is as he always is. And Mother vascillates between playing the mother worried nearly to hysterics and the mother ranting about her wayward son. I shall, of course, ask Leon to assure Mother that I am doing rather well on this island. I may not have the financial means I had at home, but I believe I am fairly content.
I think I shall ask if Leon can put together a bit of a care package. There are a few small things I would like that I am not able to acquire here. A small stockpile of batteries for my mp3 player is simply a must. And perhaps a new lithium battery for my laptop as well. I've yet to find anyplace on this island that sells batteries. I'm sure I will add a few other creature comforts to the list before my letter back to him is completed.
