I hear talk of pirates in the harbor. One assumes that this is not a regular occurence. One would also assume that the local law enforcement would take some ships out to chase away these unsavory intruders. This would seem to be a logical course of action, yet I've heard nothing of this occurring.
I suppose that government agencies in any land are somewhat inept.
After checking with the housing office and doing a bit of exploring, I've found a suitable place to make into a home. However, I shall find it necessary to stay in the inn a bit longer, for this place is currently unfurnished. I've been making inquiries into where one can find quality furnishings at reasonable pricing.
As the funds initially provided are not enough to cover the furnishing of a home, I have found it necessary to procure employment. To put it mildly, it is somewhat strange to work for a business I do not own. However, I believe my talents will be well-suited to the position I've found. Eventually I shall hope to do better than a mere bookkeeper at a local clothing shop, but it is a place to start.
