I have a 10 page paper due on Monday that I haven't started and an exam on Wednesday that I haven't started studying for keeping me from getting an early start to my winter break. I've basically had this whole past week to try and finish up with some studying, my I couldn't get myself into gear. I think I get too excited about the end of the semester and winter break that I lose focus on what's important to do now. I know, I'm a bad student. I spent a few hours adding pics to my facebook instead of studying the other night.
Let's see...what else haven't I done? I haven't started studying for everything that's due. I still haven't bought a single christmas present. I still haven't paid off all my credit cards. I need new tires on my car. And umm...there were a few others, but I can't think of it now.
Other than that...
- I went to this restaurant in Columbia called Pei Wei with Jess. It seems like a chinese restaurant meets Noodles & Company type of place. But it was good. Jess' food was a little salty, and my orange peel chicken didn't taste that much like orange. But I tried the crab wontons and they were good.
- One of Jess' roommates hates me. She directs her away messages towards me and says stuff like "why don't some people just leave", "I hate freeloaders", "why don't some people just take all their stuff and leave" and blah blah blah, even though I'm not there all the time. And if I took all my stuff, they wouldn't have a microwave, toaster/toaster oven, a bunch of pots and pans, tv in their living room, and a few other things. I think she just assumes I'm always at their apartment, even when I'm not.
- I haven't really seen or talked to a lot of people in a while. I haven't really gone out that much either. I think I've become more and more of a hermit. Sometimes, I really just don't want to be social.
- I haven't drank that much this semester. Yeah, I might have a beer or two a couple times every few weeks, but I haven't gotten drunk that much. I think turning 21 does that to some people. It's not the same fun as it used to be.
- Even though I haven't gone out that much, I'm still enjoying college immensely. Honestly, I'm not looking forward to adulthood and growing up yet. So if it's okay, I'm happy going to classes, learning, studying for exams and paying for school. Right now, I wouldn't have it any other way. What's the rush anyway...I have the rest of my life to make money and make something of myself.
- I might take a winter class. It's weird, because I've never taken any summer or winter classes. I've always looked forward to the breaks so much or knew that I'd be busy working during the summer that I never really thought about taking one. But I've heard it's really laid back and a bit easier to sit in class longer but only go for a month. We'll see if there's still an open class that sparks my interest.
- I like looking at old pics and remembering all the good times I've had. In the past two and a half years, I have 13.3 GB of pics and videos devoted to past memories. It makes it so much easier with a digital camera and a webcam.
- It's been a long update, but I haven't had one of these in a while. Thanksgiving break (as short as it was) was a ton of fun. Let's hope winter break is just as fun and exciting.
