Suggestion of the week: Why must you tell THIS story? What's the belief burning within you that your story feeds off of? That's the heart of it.
Well, argh, that's actually the question I haven't been able to answer well for myself about the story I'm stuck on. It's really just one of those "I want to give the characters a happier ending than canon," but other than that it isn't really going anywhere. There's not much character arc to it and just...argh. But whenever I put it away I come back to it in a week or so because it's gnawing at me, so I guess I'd better buckle in and write it!
The other story I'm working on I actually have an answer to this question, so that's good! How about you? Why are you writing what you're writing, what need does it fulfill in you?
