ghoul’s night out
saturday night, some time before the orpheum closed, tyler, aaron, and myself decided it would be a great idea to ride our bikes to st.pete (we'd been planing to drive down there the next day, anyways). i'm afraid i'm most likely to blame for the suggestion, because i'm always coming up with dumb things to do. we hardly ever do them...
this one we did. and the be honest, looking back on it, the ride isn't really all that long. but it's an accomplishment, especially to a group of three kids (or maybe make that two, and one old person) that are all relatively new to fixed geared bikes. the weather was the nicest it's been so far this summer, and made it alot easier on us, so did the pain killers. we did about 40 miles altogether, maybe more if you could the fact we went to my mom's and slept for about 5 hours and got back on and rode around st.pete, technically the same day. it was alot of fun, the only bummer was my bottom bracket started squeaking half way over the bridge, meaning something is up. it was simi-epic, for the three of us, anyways.
i haven't gotten much done in the way of packing. i bought boxes saturday, but they weren't the right size for my records. so when i get out of here i'm on the hunt for the good ones. i'm going to work at my job for the rest of the week, and then, when i'm out of my house, i think i'm gonna lay low at my mom's for a few days to get being lazy out of my system so i can start looking for a new jobz right away.
