Well, I'll get the first part out of the way first: the weekend went fine. Either my boss was in a good mood or now I've just managed to get used to her. Anyways, I am officially no longer freaked out about it. She had most of the week off so it's been nice, but I'm just going to refuse to let her get to me.

As to what else is going on, there's not really much to say. I really, really want the new Animal Crossing for the DS, but I know I shouldn't spend the money on a DS right now---so I'm going to make a compromise--borrow my brother's DS occasionally to play it. Considering he uses the PS2 that is mine all the time I don't consider that to be an unreasonable thing to ask.

I keep on thinking that I need to expand my social frontiers, but unfortunately I can't find any groups that sound interesting. Church is obviously out (I could go there for the socialization, but it just wouldn't feel right to go). Every club I've seen in the Birmingham area that would hold *some* interest for me kind of frightens me. For example, I have some interest in Sci-Fi, so I thought a Sci-Fi club might be fun. However, I know from experience that there's a difference from people like me who like Sci-Fi and people who are INTO Sci-Fi. I've met some of these people, and while some are cool, normal people, some of them kind of freak me out. It's probably 2x as bad and 2x as intense if we're talking about the Star Trek club.

Also, now that I actually have a little money where I could go to concerts, I don't see anything I'm interesting coming soon. The only one that sounds vaguely interesting is the Sigur Ros concert (I think in Atlanta), but while the concept of going to see Sigur Ros sounds like it'd be a unique experience, I don't that I'd actually be willing to put down the money when it came right down to it.

I need some new music. I hope to at least rectify that problem soon.
