As usual, the family reunion was fun, but in some ways a mixed bag. Let me summarize it in the most efficient way possible
The Good:
-Good Food (Taco Pie, Homemade Ice Cream, Homemade Fried Apple Pie, etc. etc.)
-That side of the family are, for the most part, good-natured and a lot of fun to be around so I had a good time
-Finding 4 CD's at Unclaimed Baggage for $14 total
-Playing a round of golf and getting to drive the golf cart
-Lots of downtime, which was probably good for me
-I won three of the four games of Scrabble I played
The Bad:
-I got sunburned while playing golf
-Didn't sleep much thanks to being in the room right next to the kitchen/living area and due to the fact that all four of us were in the same room, so I had to fight Perry for the covers and listen to Dad's snoring all night long
-Granny got sick Saturday night, which brought the mood down a little bit
-The downtime was good, but I got bored a lot also
-I was really ready to leave by the time it was all over
-Long drive there and back
Hopefully in the next couple of days I'll be hearing some news from Troy. I have a hard time believing that I'm going to have any time to get myself ready to move down there with less advance notice.
And in totally, unrelated news, the sequel to Katamari Damacy sold 60,000 copies last week in Japan, while the Revenge of the Sith game sold only 1/3 that much. That makes me happy in a very bizarre way, but it also makes me sad to know that a quirky, inventive game like that will never sell as well as generic licensed games do in these United States.
