The other day I went to an international party here in Tokyo, and ran into some guy from Bosnia / Herzegovina. When I mentioned that I was American his eyes lit up. He said how America helped his country out a lot, especially during the Clinton years, and if it wasn't for America he may not be there (alive? in tokyo?) now.
Yeah thanks to America he can now live and work for an IT company in Japan, go to all you can drink international parties and hit on hot asian chicks. With all the negativity surrounding our current military operations, it made me feel good to know that there -are- people who benefit from the sacrifices of our troops and their families, and that our losses are not always in vein.
