so i had a good day...
i mean, evening. its been really hectic cuz a teacher of mine is letting me make up some outlines for extra points. but my aunt is helping me. =] but like i found out today, that one of my best friends might have cancer. she had a lump on her arm and had it removed, but the doctors just thought that it was an over-growth of scar tissue. when they tested it though, it ended up not being scar tissue, so she went in tiday and they told her it was a cancer. and they dont know if it was just cancer of the skin or if its bone marrow cancer. i'm really sad, but she said the doctor didnt sound too worried about it being bone marrow and they just hope that its skin and that got it all. so that made a bad day worse.
but tonite i went to the City Council Meeting at City Hall. it was actually really fun. i know, me thinking politics is fun, but i mean, the mayor and the whole board seem like really down to earth fun people. lots of laughing and getting along. i ended up making aquaintences with the city clerk, Cynthia Trujillo. she's a funny lady. i plan on going back after break, not just for extra credit, but to be there. they seem like really awsome people. i found out that the youth pastor at my church, his grandmother lives here in SG and she was there. it so weird meeting a connection between here and out at church, cuz no one here goes to my church cuz its in Covina, 30 minutes away. but meeting her was like, WHOA! (and OMG manda, him and Dez are engaged now. 0_o ack.) and Mrs. Dixon, our Backdoor neighbor, was there. she's a pretty cool lady. i found out Puppy and Big Ugly's names, Sadie(pronounced Say-Dee) and Sully. cute dogs. she's had the cops called on her twice b/c the pups bark alot. stupid effin dumb neighbors. they're dogs, they bark, thats what they do. Howie and Quigly barked too. get over it. ANYWAYS, she was there and the old folks were talking to her after the meeting while i talked to the City Clerk, then i went back and we all started talking. fun night. i really enjoyed it. i look forward to going back after break. i might even continue next semester, just for fun.
oh well, now i have to get back to work on my outlines... :( boo. not cool. oh well. an all-nighter awaits! damn.
