Good job Mira Grant for answering a question that's been driving me nuts this entire time.
How the hell are there not people immune to your weird zombie virus? Or was no one talking about it? Because the beauty of the human body is that whatever fucked up thing happens to us SOMEONE is immune to it.

Because I was starting to worry all of your scientists are actually idiots in disguise.
That still doesn't account for the CDC, WHO, and whatever that other thing was. I'm still pissed at the lack of scientific integrity in your universe but only because it rings very true to the real world. In the real world, this kind of thing happens all the fucking time.
I hate Kelly right now a little bit too, because she represents the kind of scientist that I really hate. I can see the clear lack of scientific inquiry in the way she deals with the outside world and how dismissive she is of Dr. Abby. I don't hate her completely because at least she had the balls to research why so many reservoir patients were dying and then to run away and tell someone. That means she's not a lost cause.
But it just pisses me off how people like Dr. Abby are suppressed so that scientists that care more about rules and regulations are going "dur duh dur there is no cure." Vivisection on living humans and injecting people with acid aside, I'm pretty much 100% scientific progress. I get that most people can't be trusted to do the right thing with that kind of information but come on. You're going to keep people from analyzing the genetic make-up of KA just so that MAYBE someone wont make a new strain? That's insanity. It's like when people say we can't study pot in reputable labs because it's an illegal drug. So? So long as scientists aren't reeferring it up I'm doubtful you letting some guys at UMich study the chemical properties of pot is going to hurt anyone.
