"Unlike general assumption, the pineapple is not a single fruit, but a cluster of 100-200 tiny fruitlets," Nino reads slowly, processing the words as he goes.

Aiba frowns. "Fruitlets?"

"So, it's like, a bunch of fruit squished into one?" Sho confirms, draping himself over Nino's shoulder as he stares at the computer screen.

"Or something," Nino says. "A mutant fruit."

Ohno chokes on the piece of pineapple he's eating, looking up at Nino, slightly offended.

"Siamese fruit," Aiba adds.

Sho nods, looking serious. "Times a hundred."

"Magical Siamese Mutant Fruit," Nino concludes, pointing with determination at nothing in particular.

Aiba applauds this, and Nino crosses his arms, smug grin spread across his cheeks.

Jun chooses this moment to enter the room, and Nino is bowing and shaking Aiba's and Sho's hands. "What did you guys do to Leader?"

Nino stops bowing and looks over to Ohno, who is gazing at them all and pouting while still managing to force pineapple into his mouth. Nino shrugs. "Did you know pineapple was actually Magical Siamese Mutant Fruit?"

Ohno squeaks as he swallows his next bite.

"It's not actually one fruit," Aiba explains excitedly, "it's a giant cluster of hundreds."

"So it's Magical Siamese Mutant Fruit," Sho finishes.

Nino is beaming with pride, while Ohno continues to pull his kicked-puppy face and eat his pineapple. He looks to Jun for support.

Jun is thoughtful for a second, then nods, "That is pretty amazing actually."

Ohno finally decides to verbalise his undying love. "Pineapple is awesome," he cries.

Nino sidles over to Ohno and pats him on the head. "I know, I know," he is saying, and Ohno is hopeful for all of a moment before Nino adds: "in that Magical Siamese Mutant kind of way, of course."

Ohno hangs his head, dejected, and shoves an abnormally large portion of pineapple into his mouth.

Nino smiles and lifts Ohno's face up with a hand so he can kiss his puffy pineapple-filled cheek. "Not that there's anything wrong with it. It is pretty magical."
