TS4: The Rad Legacy [12]

Apr 10, 2015 23:20

I have a strawberry milkshake, and an update for you!

Last time, there were many birthdays and a little bit of romance! If you've missed any of the previous updates, you'll find them all under the Rad tag. Also, the heir poll ended, and Kassidy is the winner! Thanks to everyone who voted!

We rejoin the Rads to find two of the girls dancing.

“Aubree, what are you doing? The sort-of hula is out of fashion!”

“And yet, somehow it’s more fashionable than whatever it is you’re doing.”

After a hint from emmalouise on where to find the last few fish Karli needs, I sent her out to Oasis Springs only to find she needs to max Handiness first. Lame.

So the family has now got their first ever woodworking table. Karli does not look impressed by it.

“Aubree, are you sure this thing is harmless?”

“Of course! Twoflower only eats those foolish enough to try and take cake from strange places.”

“…Dad’s done it twice now.”

“Don’t tell him I said that.”

Once Aubree and Tiffanie had gone to school, Kassidy invited round her potential-boyfriend, Orlando.

“Hey! Why so sad, Orli?”

“I don’t know. Maybe it’s because I hate every word you’ve said this morning.”

“Huh. Guess we should stop talking for a bit, then.”

Seriously, within two seconds of greeting him, the conversation had turned awkward and they started to lose relationship instead of gaining it. Very frustrating.

“So, er, Kass, I think I’m gonna go…”

“Fine. Excellent, even. See, I’m busy.”

And that was the end of that love affair, sadly. So I disappeared into the ‘manage worlds’ option to see if there were any bachelors around for Kassidy…

And found this guy, Dusty Pinto, living in Oasis Springs. Who knows how he got there, but he’s seemingly perfect, so Kassidy headed over straight away to meet him.

“Hi stranger, what brings you to my patch of the desert?”

“I heard you were a single male, and I thought maybe that meant you were worth talking to.”

“Straight to the point, just how I like my women!”

“Wow, you sound like a real jerk when you say that.”

“I may sound like a jerk, but I look like a hollywood star.”

“Definitely sounding like a jerk.”

“I know. I’m not really.”

“Oh yeah? Prove it.”

“How?”

“Take me out and show me the real you.”

“You call me a jerk and then want a date? You’re strange.”

“No, I’m unpredictable. Let’s go.”

So Dusty changed out of his weird all-white outfit and into something more comfortable, and took Kassidy to the Rattlesnake bar in Oasis Springs.

“Do you normally take girls to bars in the Springs to impress them?”

“Trust me, this place is awesome.”

“Okay, fine. But there’s something I need to tell you before we go inside.”

“What’s that?”

“This.”

I have no idea how the game came up with Dusty, but I think I love him. It’s clear Kassidy really likes him, too.

“So what do you think? Am I a great kisser or am I a great kisser?”

“Well. You’re not the worst.”

“I guess that’s a compliment.”

Kassidy suddenly got up from her bar stool.

“I know this seems crazy, but we have some wild chemistry going on here. I think you should be my boyfriend.”

“Really? I’ve been messing around like a cocky jerk all day, and somehow you found that attractive?”

“I like your stupid face and silly attitude.”

“Well, then, fine. I’ll be your stupid and silly boyfriend.”

Have I mentioned I love these two?

Here’s hoping this one works out better than Kassidy and Orlando did.

This red-headed woman then showed up and stood directly in between Kassidy and Dusty. Was she his wife? An ex-girlfriend?

“Kass, this is my sister. Who should be somewhere else, rather than interfering right now.”

“Pleased to meet you!”

“So, aside the sister and my occasional cocky smile, what do you think?”

“I think we should go out again sometime.”

“I’d love to.”

On the way home, Kassidy passed out from all of the excitement of the evening.

And it was hilarious - first pass out of the legacy!

Back at the house, and Aubree’s still hanging out with Tiffanie.

“I heard Kassidy got a boyfriend! Like a serious one!"

"So what?"

"I'm the one with a soul mate aspiration! I want a serious boyfriend!"

I’m starting to think this save is on its way out - sims have started disappearing from the family tree. Alison & Dax are both gone, as is Rhea and Dante, Anne’s husband. Ryker is currently recognised as Karli’s half-sibling for some reason, too.

I’ve got the sims backed up on the gallery, but I can’t help feeling a little anxious about it all.

Anyway, back to the Rads themselves, and you’ll never guess who just happened to be in the neighbourhood…

“You really couldn’t wait to see me again, could you?”

“I thought you’d be pleased!”

“Oh, Dusty! It’s you! It’s been so long, how are you?”

“That was the reaction I was going for.”

“Of course it was. Come on, I’m making dinner.”

“Are you sure you know what you’re doing?”

“Shut up, I can cook.”

Guys, I think I may have a new favourite couple.

I mean, I’ve liked all of the others - Alison and Dax the Miserable Sod, Anne and Dante, her weird snooty guy from next door; Karli and Grayson, boy she grew up with - but I think Kass and Dusty might just be my favourite.

And we all know what this means!

It did not result in pregnancy this time, though.

After that, while Kassidy slept, Dusty decided to get up and stand around.

He’s probably pretending to be a male model.

The next morning, and with everyone asleep, at school or at work, Karli was feeling pretty lonely. So she struck up a conversation with the maid, who consequently came and sat down in front of the TV.

Also, the Rads get a new maid every time now, and I find that slightly distressing.

“I have to go now, Mrs Rad. I’m charging you $102 for the day, even though I just sat and watched TV with you.”

“Of course! We don’t really mind having to clean up ourselves tonight.”

I think Tiffanie minded a little when she had to clean up ALL of the dirty dishes later.

But hey, she has the neat trait, so she drew the short straw when it comes to cleaning.

And then whose birthday should roll around but Aubree’s.

This one seemed to take a while to arrive. Or maybe I’m imagining things.

Of course she’s still gorgeous. I couldn’t see any noticeable changes in her.

Her final trait is Genius.

“Hey Kass, was that your strange boyfriend I saw moving in a minute ago?”

“Yeah…it’s pretty serious. There’s just something about him.”

“Aw. I wish I had that.”

And what else would make a relationship more serious that the impending birth of a child? Generation five is a bun in the oven!

“I’ve got something awesome to tell you!”

“It’s a gorgeous day, we’re both pretty, what on earth could you have to say?”

“I’m pregnant!”

“Oh, wow! With two gorgeous sims like us, we’re going to have an awesome kid!”

I am very excited about seeing the kids these two produce.

With Kassidy moving forward with her life, I figured it was time Aubree tried to do the same.

She was more apprehensive that I was.

She met an interesting but sad man playing chess alone in the park, and managed to cheer him up.

For now, they're just friends. But in the future, maybe they'll be more.

Later that day, it was cake time! Karli’s finally catching up with Grayson.

That said, he’s already had the “his life is coming to an end” pop-up, so I don’t think he has much time left.

“Mum, you still look wonderful.”

“Thank you, Tiffanie.”

“Can I have my cake now?”

That’s right, it’s a double birthday! Which seems to happen quite often in this family.

Tiffanie’s growing up!

She's gorgeous, but you knew that! And those shorts are the cutest ever.

Right now I can't remember what her final trait was.

Anyway, I'll see you next time for generation five!
