Drabbles!

These are based on Myshuno! prompts, but I missed out on that. I still thought I'd share what I'd written, though. Enjoy!

Death Comes To Dinner
Prompt: The Pros and Cons of Exercise
Story: The Krunkles ISBI
Summary: Rob and Tamara have a disagreement over the exercise bike. Would have happened in Chapter Two.
Word Count: 228

Rob was frowning, arms folded, watching his wife shoveling the salad into her mouth. Tamara had just discovered she was pregnant again, but instead of eating for two, she had opted to cycle miles without ever leaving the living room.

“I think we should get rid of the exercise bike,” Rob said, suddenly. Tamara stopped eating and stared at him.

“Why on earth should we do that?” She demanded, setting her fork down.

“Look at the pros and cons, Tam,” Rob replied, shrugging, “We’d be much better off without it,”

“Pro, the results are undeniable,” Tamara told him, proud of the shape exercise had given to her body.

“Con, you starve yourself every time,” Rob pointed out, bluntly.

“Pro, it’s healthy to have a hobby,”

“Con, it’s not healthy to have an obsession,”

“Pro, it’s good for my long-term health,”

“Con, it nearly killed you. More than once,” Rob sighed, “Look, I lost my first wife to the exercise bike, I don’t want to lose you, too.”

Tamara rolled her eyes, “You doubt me and my ability to stay alive,”

Suddenly, Death glided through the wall and into the dining room, CHEF SALAD? LOOKS GOOD, ROB. GOT ANY SPARE?

Rob frowned, “What are you doing here?”

ANGIE WAS EXERCISING, Death said, casually, ACCIDENTALLY STARVED HERSELF.

Rob turned to Tamara, “That’s it; we’re getting rid of the exercise bike.”

Stranger Things Have Happened
Prompt: "OMG! Did you see that?!"
Story: The Wrongway Legacy
Summary: Erin Beaker can't quite believe what she's seeing. Would have happened in the last chapter (5.1)
Word Count: 141

Erin Beaker rushed up to the girls, an enormous grin on her face, “OMG! Did you see that?”

Chloe, Lola and Kristen all looked at her blankly, as Erin tossed her blonde hair over her shoulder and pointed over to the corner of the club. Maddie and Tank were laughing together, drinks in their hands. The girls looked back at Erin.

“So?” Chloe asked, raising an eyebrow. Erin did tend to get excited over nothing.

“You missed it?” Erin said, disappointed, “Tank was singing karaoke!”

“No way,” Kristen scoffed, “Are you sure it wasn't Ripp?”

“Swear on my life,” Erin replied, seriously, “I don’t know what that Maddie girl did to him, but he actually looked…happy,”

“Makes a change,” Chloe commented. She looked over to Tank and Maddie, still chatting in the corner of the room. What exactly was going on?

Dating Disasters
Prompt: "Is that your natural hair colour?"
Story: The Krunkles ISBI
Summary: Dolly would rather be anywhere else than here right now. Takes place in either chapter 7 or 8ish (currently unpublished)
Word Count: 226

Dolly was having the time of her life. That’s what she had to keep telling herself as the Newson boy talked for ten minutes at a time, in that dull monotone voice he possessed. She knew it wasn’t his fault he was boring, but still…

Her mother had warned her that Gypsy dates weren’t all they were made out to be. Dolly hadn’t listened, had handed over her savings to the matchmaker. What a rip-off.

“So, what about you?” The boy asked suddenly, snapping Dolly out of her daydream - she was anywhere, anywhere at all except at this table.

“What?” Dolly blinked, wide-eyed. Luckily, the boy smiled at her.

“Wake up, Dolly,” He murmured, and tugged gently on a lock of her hair. Dolly raised an eyebrow, but said nothing, and the boy continued, “Is this your natural hair colour?”

Dolly stared at him, bewildered. Her hair was blue, had been since she was a child - she’d found her father’s hair dye as a kid, and never looked back.

“No,” Dolly said, cautiously, unsure if the boy was being serious or not.

“So what is your natural hair colour?” The boy asked, smiling. Dolly smiled back, running through colours in her head.

“Pink,” She decided. The boy looked surprised but ran with it, complimenting her on being so unusual. Dolly rolled her eyes. Worst date ever.
