Part 4: Teenage Dreams

Welcome back to my ISBI!

It's the last update of generation one! Our new Torch Holder takes over at the end of the update. And it's quite a short update, because taking a lot of pictures in TS3 is something I struggle to get into the habit of doing.

Anyway!

Last time, there was a few sims passing out, the kids growing up, and a visit from Grim after a fire killed Amy. Apparently, kids can die in TS3! Who knew?!

Like father, like son.

Phoenix's thumbnail is quite often really, really red, and he hasn't died yet, so I have high hopes for this challenge. There's plenty of old cake in the fridge for them all, anyway.

No need to cook and cause more fires!

Henry brought home this girl from school, and I think her name is Emily.

Basically, I made a bunch of colourful sims and plopped them down in the neighbourhood, just in case there weren't many teens and such kicking around.

The pair of them worked out they're attracted to each other, but did nothing about it.

Meanwhile, Phoenix finished work, and decided he'd sit on a bench outside, reading.

It was a nice day for it, afterall.

After they did their homework in separate corners of the house, Henry and Emily danced for a bit, before he decided he was tired or hungry or smelly or something.

One of those things.

So Emily nearly missed her curfew by playing on our water slide. Which is fine - she's the first sim to have found it there.

We interrupt this ISBI update to remind you that Henry is evil.

And he has the eyebrows to prove it.

Every time I see a picture of Hazel in my folder, I mistake her for Pansy, Phoenix's daughter before he married Muriel. It must be because of how similar they look.

Anyway, Hazel spent the night sleeping in a chair down by the seafront. She went over to that place after school and decided she liked it so much, she'll stay.

Phoenix found the public toilet closest to his bench and camped out there.

AND he made it to work in the morning. I love this guy!

The next day was prom night, for some reason.

Flora, Henry and Hazel struggle with the concept of wearing formalwear to a formal dance.

Henry had a great time, Hazel had a bad time, and Flora didn't do anything worth mentioning - she just admired the lights and things.

It amuses me that they voted Henry for Prom King, even though he has no friends, and he only vaguely knows Emily.

Not one of my teens found a date for the prom, nor anyone to dance with while they were there. Sad times.

I had my breath held while she fixed this. I couldn't remember how many handiness skill points she had, but the laptop really needed fixing.

But hooray, Muriel lived!

Speaking of living - or not living - Amy came out for a bit. She spends a lot of time in the shower, which is why she is no longer in her princess outfit.

Also I have no idea what is wrong with Phoenix and the sofa in the background.

He cheered up when he found the water slide, though.

Proof that you are never too old to have fun!

Alexia hasn't done much this update, and for that, I apologise.

"How could you forget about me? I'm the QUEEN!"

Not for much longer.

Alexia grew up really pretty, but she's like completely Muriel, so it was expected.

WAH Amy should've grown up at this point too! Still can't get over the fact I managed to kill a sim kid.

"Why are you setting booby traps? You're grounded!"

Seriously, the teens need more things to do, because the house is booby-trapped in almost every way possible - both toilets, all three sinks, the laptop, the sofa, the shower...

"OH WOW! A zombie! I thought they made them up to scare kids!"

"I've just discovered zombies are TERRIFYING!"

"I'll hide from him in my trusty sleeping bag!"

Elsewhere, Flora grew up.

And I apparently didn't get a snap of her as an adult before she moved out. I suck.

I'll show you what she looks like next time there's a party.

But in the meantime, here's hoping Story Progression treats her nicely.

He's hydrophobic, but he'll hang out in the bathroom as long as none of the taps are on...

I've not had a sim just sit on the side of the bath before.

Muriel's guitar-playing draws in crowds. I'm working on her skills as often as I can in order to fulfill her LTW before it's time to pass the torch, but it's difficult when everyone stops taking care of themselves to just stand there and listen.

Seriously! Phoenix complains about being hungry, gets halfway to the fridge, then comes back to listen again. It's annoying.

I could have sworn he had the neat trait.

So I have no idea why he's rooting around in the bin. In the rain.

"I HATE that guitar! I want to go to bed!"

Another reason why building guitar skill is hard - hide Muriel in a different room to play and they're still all over it.

Guys, get on that bus, it looks totally safe.

YAY! Muriel maxed out her painting skill, and her guitar skill, and fulfilled her LTW!

(I nearly typed "permaplat". Still got my TS2 brain on xD)

Is it just me, or does Muriel look quite a bit older?

Actually, it might just be the lighting.

TWIN BIRTHDAY!!

Time to grow up my Torch Holder! And move Hazel out without taking a picture of her adult-ness!

...I really need to get better at that.

And here he is, our torch holder!

Join us next time when his generation gets started!
