I've had this Livejournal for almost two years and I've done nothing but manage to compliment people on their icons and fanmixes. (I had another one before it,but got rid of it because I didn't like the name and I wasn't going to pay to change it.)
I am now working on a fanmix of my own. It is for the character of Emma Swan from Once Upon a Time. We've only seen four episodes (and have to wait two weeks for the next one!!!), but I feel like I'm getting a good idea of how she thinks. I may be horribly, horribly wrong, but I'm going to give it a shot anyway.
I also seem to be breaking the stranglehold that Glee has on me. I very rarely listen to the music anymore, though I'll never fully quit. But I haven't watched the last two episodes live. I watch them later so I can fast-forward through the shit, which is most of it. I'm really sad to see a show that was pretty awesome (yes, cheesy, a bit inconsistent, and sometimes badly acted and written) in the first season turn into this mess that I cannot bare to watch. The only saving graces for me are Rachel and Kurt. They are so often in the wrong, but I can't help but love them. I also like Lea and Chris. I adore Naya and Cory as well, but Finn is on my last nerve and Santana is just too much of a bully for me to respect anymore.
So I watched NCIS tonight instead. Good choice. These last two episodes were pretty good. I do feel like something was missing from this one, though. Ziva is back in the Middle East, dealing with a Marine that has been captured and two little girls who have been tortured. Why does this not bring back memories of Somalia? I'm not completely up to date on the last two seasons, but TPTB seem to sidestep that issue whenever there is the possibility that it can rear its ugly head. Tony mentions it a couple of times, but are we ever going to get Ziva's side of the story? I know she's tough and can compartmentalize and has been trained to withstand torture, but there is no way that Somalia didn't effect her somehow. I'm hoping that the writers still remember this incident and are just holding on to it until Ziva has some sort of PTSD triggered episode and it has to be brought up. She's as strong as they come, but no one is that strong.
