I'll look into it. If you haven't already heard her, you might like to check out Joanna Newsom. American harpist who plays wild bluesy songs that stay on the right side of intelligent whimsy. I'd put a link up but her site has sod all at the moment.

I need to listen to some more, because theremina likes her stuff, and she's forgotten more about music than I've ever known, so there must be something there...

...but she's got a stupid fucking voice and she can't play a harp.

I'm not really conversant in harp technique but I like the sounds she makes with hers. The voice takes some getting into but once you get into the mental groove it's as consistent as conventional singing.
For what it's worth, I think her lyrics are of an exceptionally high quality too. Lyrics are really unnecessary for good music but I like it when people make the effort.
