I've found so much to do without WoW... it's interesting.

Looked at cars today. Looked at a lot then left, then checked out this Neon I found on Craigslist that turned out to be complete shit.

Will have to keep looking.

Also, finished up Sarah Jane Smith Adventures, then looked up a bunch of F2P MMOs... haven't done so in a long while. Found a few interesting possibilities, though I might just start with this F2P D&D one I saw... just because I saw a beholder in one of the screencaps.

Got curious and went searching for steampunk MMOs as well. Dunno why this hasn't been attempted before. I'm getting kind of sick of fantasy to be honest. Wasn't finding much. Saw this one called "Neo Steam" which claimed to be steampunk just because it had a few zeppelins and things made of pipes... but it was like at the steampunk got ironed out by the mighty magical fist of pink and blue haired transforming spinning chibi people. Sort of... made me not so enthused. Then there's another called Gatheryn which looks a bit more related to the genre, but it also looks like horse crap. I mean... I shouldn't expect too much from a F2P MMO, but even Archlord at least managed to make their characters look like their heads weren't run over by a bus.

Then I found this:
http://clockworksymphony.com/

They actually launched they're site on the birth date of Tesla.

Please... oh please... don't fail me.

I don't even care if it's a pay to play... but I am SO sick of fantasy MMO! Sci-Fi is a bit of a break, yeah, but so much of that is "Pew pew! Lookit mai gunz an fancy ship!" and when you actually take a step back and look at what you're playing you find it's the same damn thing but instead of "Tauren" you're a "Klingon" or some similar big burly warrior race.

Turns out sci-fi and fantasy have nothing different between them apart from one takes place in the sky... wait... except the fantasy ones do that too. Well... that KOTOR3 BS might be something different but they're taking forever to whip it out. That and most of the sci-fi games have shit for character creation (not including Star Trek in any of this since I haven't played it yet... but from what I've seen the gameplay is very Champions Online like).

I want a game where it takes skill to stay within the genre. Where you actually have to work at a story rather than slap together a bunch of fake races and shit, start a war, and call it good. I want a game where each little clockwork bit is lovingly handcrafted to give a sense of age and the feeling that it could fall apart any second but is kept together by chewing gum and McGuyver's left sock.

In the end though... I only ask a few things from my MMOs though, so I'm hoping it at least has these things:
Faces that are more than triangles.
The ability to jump.
Buildings that are more than pretty boxes set on a poorly rendered dessert.

I think the concept sketch of a bicycle on their site took away some of my worries though. Can't go wrong with odd looking bicycles...
