SO many... applications. >_< Applied to Home Depot, Cub and tried to apply to Target but their site kept telling me there was an unacceptable character somewhere in my job history even after I deleted and retyped only the bare minimum. So I smashed my face on the keyboard some, then went and put my resume up on Monster, snagajob, careerbuilder and ( Read more... )

I always wished they'd put something like N/A applicable on those. My favorite are the ones that ask you if you've ever stolen from a previous employer. It's like a) how stupid do you think we are. Even if anyone has they're going to put, 'No'.

I suppose they're really just checking to make sure you're not insane... or just selecting things at random... but DAMN!

Like today I got one on the Michael's test: "I am the nicest person I have ever met." >_>

There are actually places that use profiling and all of that. The personality tests, they actually give the supervisors classes in reading those things. It's rather interesting.

@ o Crazy.

And guess what, I just had a 10 minute timed logic test. It had a lot of math and questions where you had to pick the first letter of whatever word the sentence was the definition of... like "The sound that comes after lightening" would be "T" for thunder... only that was jsut the example. The ones on the test were things like "Giving priority to family members." >_> What the hell would that even be?

I think I failed it. Didn't even get halfway through because I was actually trying to stop and do the math questions.

Yeah, they are really nutty. My boss left out a question of the bosses copy of those question/situational interviews they give you on her desk the other night. I was going through it and reading the comments they put on them for the interviewer, it was kinda waked. They had the questions and then the information that they were looking for and all of that.
