BEWARE: GEEK POST AHEAD

I ordered some new stuff off Newegg for my computer because I've been needing some upgrades. I bought some 2GB of dual channel OCZ platinum 3200 RAM, another 320GB HD and a DVD-RAM drive. I'm waiting for more info on the OCZ Cryo-Z phase change system too...

Anyway, I slipstreamed SP2 and some drivers/tweaks into an XP Pro unattended install CD last night and it installed while I was sleeping. Pretty cool to wake up and have Windows fresh and new waiting for me. I forgot to slipstream my sound drivers, so I still gotta do that. Pretty simple though.

I'm thinking of partitioning a part of my first SATA drive and installing Fedora Core 5 on it. I'm downloading the DVD of it right now. It should be done before I get off work at noon. Installing Linux is always a fun project, so I can look forward to that I suppose. =P

Microsoft released the new Vista build today for beta testers and x64bit.net has a post with a couple of good screenshots showing the new sidebar and widgets. Guess what else? Vista will have a new version of Paint! Can't miss that upgrade. =)
