i've always wanted to have an artist parent. do you get inspired a lot?

oh yeah
especially when i was little
he'd help me with all my artistic-ish projects for school
and scribble cute little pictures/notes on my napkins in my lunchbox
and he put my lunch money in film canisters every day when i didn't have a packed lunch
i like to think i get whatever abilities i have from him

that's so precious, i would love to do that for my kids one day. it's the smallest gestures, but definitely memorable. did you keep any of the notes?

my mom used to write me little notes while i was sleeping and put them under my pillow to find when i woke up. :)

i don't think i kept any of them, but i couldn't imagine myself consciously throwing anything like that away...
i keep the notes they leave me now, for sure...and the memories of course :]
