Who should you not trust: Advice for my Son
This is probably going to be one of the most important and retaught lessons I will ever teach you. You cannot trust people who want to be rich or who are rich. The only thing people with money want is more money. They don't care who it hurts or where it comes from as long as it keeps them comfortable. By no means are you coming into a family of paupers. We are comfortably middle class. However ever minute is not spent trying to find ways to gain money, it's spent trying to find ways to enjoy our lives.
I have to say though that there are exceptions to every rule. There are those that will donate ridiculous amounts of money to those that need it and still only find ways to spend their money to help. Maybe I should amend my statement about don't trust the rich. Don't trust those that judge success or happiness in dollar signs. They are sad people and should be pitied, but not trusted.
To sum up, money can be good...just don't let it drive your life.
