The One Hundred Thirty-First Day of 2008

May 10, 2008 22:10

My first full day home and I feel like I slept through it.

I didn't wake up until quarter to eleven today! I can't tell you the last time I slept past 10:30. I was shocked when I finally woke up.

Daddy made me blueberry pancakes and bacon for brunch. It was originally supposed to be breakfast, but since Jake slept almost as much as I did, that wasn't really an option.

Afterwords, we chilled for a bit and then cleaned the house. Jake and I drove out to pick up the car where it'd been left at Daddy's office and then I went to get refills on my perscriptions. I also stopped by the library and got six or seven books to read. Yay! And they're pretty much all churf (Christian Historical Romance Fiction; the U is just in there for looks). Haven't been able to read much churf at all since August. Then I ran to Ukrop's to get some stuff for Mom's breakfast in bed tomorrow and, after picking up my perscription, came home.

Once home, I fipped on the TV and half-watched Independence Day while tackling the first of my churfs. Got hungry before it was over so Dad and I brought some Ukrop's chicken to Jake for dinner at work and then went to the absolute best calzone place ever. Daddy likes the pasta there, but I don't think I've ever had anything but their pizzas and calzones and I love their calzones.

This evening, I started to patch up my favorite pair of jeans, but the hole in the rear has gotten bigger, so it's a pretty big job that'll probably take me a while. While I was working on it, I watched Fantastic Four 2. I could really get used to this digital cable stuff with a million movies on all the time.

My allergies are definitally reacting to the change in location. My nose is all stuffed up and I have a headache. Stupid allergies. Why do they have to suddenly be so bad?
