There are few things in life that get me mad to the point when I would seriously consider bodily harm to someone. Yeah, yeah I threaten all the time, but I'm not really mad. This...this is serious anger. I hate the newspaper for two reasons: 1. because i can't stop reading it and 2. because the way they lay out the stories infuriates me. Paris frickin Hilton going to jail is front page news while people dying in Bangladesh from another mudslide is a tiny blip on the bottom corner of the 4th page.
Paris Hilton should go to a real jail, not the posh little solitary high-profile joint she's in. She needs to be roughed up, spoiled little wench.
But the story I read today that only fuels my indignation with the newspaper was on the very back page, and in my mind, should have been the headline story. This doctor working as a respiratory some sort of doctor for kids who are in comas or otherwise sort of vegetative states is going to jail for 165 years. Why you ask? because he was molesting comatose toddlers. WHO DOES THAT?!?!?! And why does nobody care enough that this sicko specifically targeted children who wouldn't be able to tell anyone what was happening to them that we didn't even hear about this on TV? No, clearly Paris is more important. So now this guy's gonna sit in jail for 165 years ( I hate when people get that, it's so ridiculous- nobody lives 165 years. silly. ) I think he should have a much harsher sentence, starting with chopping off the wingdingdoodle. If you can't handle it responsibly, it gets taken away. Then he should be forced to do manual labor for the rest of his life in SIberia, like the Russians used to do to their prisoners. The Russians didn't get much right, but Siberia was right on the money. Nothing says your life sucks and you're a terrible person like vast winter wasteland and frozeness for the rest of your natural days.
It never fails to baffle my mind. How can someone do this to a child? One of his victims was two years old. TWO. The child probably wasn't even out of diapers. Now, I'm not a super huge fan of small children, hence why I'm going to be a high school teacher- I haven't the patience for little kids. But there is an innocence about them, a preciousness that should be preserved and protected, not violated with selfish disregard for their well-being. There is a reason that human children are born helpless, instead of like turtles already ready to be self-sufficient. Because they are meant to be protected, cared for, nourished and encouraged.
I hope this man rots.
