I really need to look into this Guitar Hero game. I wonder how easily it would be to go from playing a game to playing my guitar.

while having guitar experience really helps when you're playing the game, just playing guitar hero probably wouldn't help too much if you've never played a guitar before. But I think it does help individual finger strength, so if you already know how to play guitar, it might help you to do solos better.

Ok, dude, I can play "I wanna be sedated" left handed while drunk, and the guitar hero version still kicked my ass.

It's not identical to actual guitar playing, it's just a simulation. You still had to figure out how the buttons work. Come over sometime and give it a few tries and you'll pick it up fast.

From what I've seen, people who know the basics of guitar-playing transition pretty easily to playing the game. And yeah, what Jorn said about finger strength. My pinky is *so* much stronger than it used to be...
