big news!!
I FOUND MY METAL RULER!!!
Okay, maybe that's not the biggest news evar or anything. But I freakin' love this ruler. It's 18 inches and metal and strong, and I bought it for my book art class and became totally dependent on it whenever I needed to cut *anything*, and I thought I had lost it in the move. See, I distinctly remember using it here in the new place, to cut some contact paper to fit under the kitchen sink. So later on, when I was looking for the metal ruler, I tore the place apart but didn't think to look in any of the boxes, because I thought the ruler had already been unpacked and used. Apparently I was wrong about that, because I just found it in my still-taped-up craft box in which I was looking for holiday wrapping paper. I was so sad when I thought it was lost forever. Now I am happy! The unbeatable team of X-Acto, ruler, and cutting mat is still going strong.
I'm having a really nice weekend even though Jorn isn't here. But I miss him. He won't be home tonight until late, but I can't wait to see him.
PS. The Christmas tree looks beautiful! Pictures eventually.
