I did yoga this morning. However, I've decided that I'm not going to post my yoga stats for 2011. I'm feeling kind of... over it? The numbers are interesting, but not really inspiring. The whole point for me is to make yoga something that doesn't need to be quantifiable, something that's just part of my daily life. I don't post every time I brush my teeth. I'd rather have yoga be more on that level. I think instead I'll post less frequently about yoga, but with more substantive content. Last year I continued to make yoga part of my regular routine, and I stepped up my studio practice at least a bit. This year I want to continue that upward trend, and also figure out what I'm going to do about my teacher training: not necessarily to accomplish my teacher training this year, or even to sign up for or begin my training, but to figure out what I'm going to do and get a plan in place. I'm already on the road to that. F and I did a little research online yesterday, and there are a few programs that are really good candidates. In particular, East Eagle Yoga is a studio 20 minutes from my house that has a training starting in March, with a schedule that looks realistic and achievable for my busy life, at an affordable rate, and with an info session this Friday night where I can ask questions and meet the teachers. I have my fingers crossed that East Eagle will be The One. If it's not, I'm going to keep doing my research and figure out what's going to be the best way to do it.
I am, however, going to keep posting my jogs. That's been useful and doesn't require so much math.
I have a few year-in-review posts I need to make plus the resolutions for the new year. This week's going to be pretty busy but I want to do this before I lose track (I don't think I ever posted a 2009-books-in-review, which is kind of sad to me).
