I'm sick and tired of all this shit about the viola and the people who play it. Hey violinists, you want to know why we all suck? It's because there isn't anything worth playing that we practice. This Hindemuth piece I'm playing is a bunch of crap. There isn't anything lyrical about it, its a bunch of bullshit. And so when we have nothing to practice we care not about what we sound like. The viola section from state orchestra last year was damn good. When we came in on our solo in the Roman Carnival it was perfectly in tune and we sound like violinists, except that it sounds prettier because we aren't playing so high only the dogs can here it. That was some damn good music, but the only good viola parts seem to be in orchestra music as opposed to solo form. Don't try and tell me that violas suck, or violas can't play in tune, or violas have no technical ability, cause you know what, we don't have the chance to! Give us something to play and then say it to our faces. From now on I am not going to deal with that shit from any other instrument. Until you write something that's not a duet for solo viola and fucking drums (yes Mrs. Consiglio that was bullshit too) don't tell me that we can't play.
