existentialism and the road

i paid carl to work for me today...it was one of my better choices recently...this allowed me to go running and if was fantastic!

for the first time since living in royal oak i ran through downtown...the air was filled with the smell of bbq from memphis and bd's, the noise from the gangs of crotch rocketeers deafened the crowed streets, and sean's 4th street "crust punks" did what they always do, by continuing to embrace their faux rebellious tendencies as they bask in the commercialism of downtown ro. it was after running past all of these things that i was privy to a awe inspiring expirence... i ran past the train tracks near lincoln and i remember thinking as i passed that railroad track are one of those rare places in populous areas where sometimes it is possible to just look all they way down them to the horizon. entertaining this thought on my way back i stop on the railroad tracks but instead of looking to the horizon, there was a bright light in the distance...yes thats right it was a train and i was standing on the tracks, which reminded me of a thrice song, but i digress. The train was prolly 2 miles away so it wasn't going to hit me but for some reason the train steaming towards me prompted the most remarkable feeling...

i don't know why i thought to write about this, but it was a very nice run today...
and this week is looking promising too, one thing in particular is going to be great
