grandparents DO tend to spoil their grandkids rotten, don't they?

we picked sadie up from my parents' house last night, and she looked visibly bulkier than i had remembered her to be. my dad told me that he had to loosen her collar! we had filled her tupperware canister (the 2nd size up. the one that was probably meant for coffee... you know, you have the sugar one and the flour one and then 2 smaller ones... well, the larger of the 2 smaller ones... you know this style of tupperware canister from what, the 70's?:

well, it was filled to the top with biscuits (that should have lasted her at least 2 or 3 weeks) as well as a box of greenies. when we got there, the canister was empty, and there were 2 boxes of vegetarian biscuits (mr pugsley's and barkies bones) that we hadn't bought for her both opened, and both of them only 1/3 full!!!!!!! they had given her at least 1 month if not 1.5 months worth of biscuits in 1 week period!!!!!!! :-O

we got her home, and she had diarrhea. :-( and then this morning, she ate her breakfast in small bursts... almost nibbling at it. :-( and she atypically didn't have a poo this morning. :-( if she has an accident today, it's okay. she doesn't feel good. poor baby. if she still feels yucky, we'll give her tofu and boiled rice, which is supposed to be good for doggies with diarrhea. we'll hold off on the biscuits for a while. good thing she likes ice. :-) hydration AND treat. all in one inexpensive package!
but you know, it was mostly our fault, because we didn't ask them to be sparing with the treats, but next time they babysit, hopefully they won't overindulge her as they had this time. but you know, maybe that's just how grandparents are.

oh... and bologna. she tore the bed you got her to shreds on sunday/monday.
she loved it though. we put it in front of the heater vent in the bathroom, and she'd fall right asleep. it'll be a while before we get her another flat bed for the vent. (that is IF we get her a flat bed) maybe she'll put two and two together, and not rip up her beds anymore. then maybe not.

oh, and temporary mods, thank you for keeping an eye on the communities. hopefully you didn't have much trouble. if any of you would like to be un-moderaterized, let me know (or do it yourself if you know how to). if i hear nothing, i'll keep you all on as secondary mods.

sadie
