grade your dog food

there was an entry over at petbulls on grading your pets' foods, and i was shocked at some of the low grades these so-called great dog foods were getting it's amazing what advertizing can do, eh? (and i liked that the test seemed like it didn't have an agenda [as if it was written by advocates of the raw diet])

Sadie eats better than some people!! :-)

I think my mom gives Hannah Purina. Not sure though. I know that is what they gave Maggie. I can't even convince them to create a better diet for themselves and for Andrea so I doubt that they would be open to the idea of buying Hannah better quality food!

ugh.
I feed my cats science diet and I hate it.
I am afraid to switch the food though, because my female cat gets bad UTIs, and then pees on my roommates bed :/.
I was feeding them pet gaurd, which was when she was getting the UTIs, and the vet reccomended switching.
It worked, no more UITs, and no more peeing on beds, but I hate that science diet uses animal biproducts.
i should see if vegan pets has any suggestions. I am ok with feeding my cats meat (the dog gets the veggie food)- I would just like it to be healthy biproduct free meat.
