(no subject)
this weekend, scott and i went to REI because even if we got luggage as a wedding gift, i knew that we wouldn't have time to open them and pack in the small amount of time we have on sunday. (besides, i hadn't registered for anything as of this past weekend.) ::sheepish grin::
so... first, when we get to the backpack section i see this magnificent orange bag and then i ask the salesman if they have any women-specific bags, he measures me and points me to this bag and i can't get over the ugly periwinkle fabric. it fits okay, and it has load lifters, which might be convenient someday, but it didn't fit any better than the orange bag. it didn't have special straps to account for the C cups, so why am i still looking at the blue bag? he laughs at the fact that i get the orange bag because it looks better. but the torso length on the orange bag goes up to 18.5 which is exactly what i am! so it's a no-brainer!
and the waist belt is removable for the airplane
i got a beautiful backpack! :-) the color is much nicer in person. it's brighter (almost metallic) than the online picture. i'd call it more copper than rust.
scott got the wheelybeast 2.0 :-) it's a monster.
