I did the same thing. Ordered my dress in January, got it in April. Didn't try it on until... oh... May? For my June wedding. And it baaaarely fit. I probably had enough time to bust my fat ass and lose a couple of pounds before the wedding, but I said screw it and had it taken out a little.
eek! i don't have 70 bucks to spend right now! wow! that's expensive!
did you do the points thing or the core ingredients plan? i'd think for vegetarians it would be easier to do with points, since the core ingredients plan is probably chock full of stuff we can't eat.
man! everything's expensive these days. what happened to a loaf of bread for a nickel!?! :-)
I had the same problem, my dress almost didn't fit, which was really depressing not only because it was my WEDDING DAY but also because it was loose when I bought it. :( You could always just wear a longline bra, that always helps. :)
nope, I don't even remember what brand mine was. It was just what they had at the wedding boutique. Sadly, I didn't wear mine as it was also too tight and I could barely breathe in it. :(
I had much the same problem! I had the seams let out on the bodice (what a beast - it had built-in boning and my saintly seamstress had to completely dismantle and reassemble it to get it to fit) and the button on the skirt moved a little... ...and I went on the pre-wedding panic diet of having no appetite for a couple of weeks because I was so stressed out. (No virtue here! I just freaked out.)
But I still ended up with some challenging zipping action and big bruises on my hips from the bodice of the dress. *sigh* I think it's a common thing; fortunately, you have three+ weeks, a seamstress at work, and as diffusedglow says, sometimes undergarments can work wonders.
Yeah, she really did. One of those people who sews because she loves it, and she likes a challenge...
(I'll admit that my biggest problem is being short in the torso, so the need to alter was partly so that the bustline of the dress wasn't floating up around my shoulders... but the size issue also played a role.)

your seamstress did a fantastic job! i would have never known.
i'd like to try to keep the dress' bodice as it is, so it's myself who will change. :-)

would you mind getting to work "early" this month?

Me, I avoided this problem by having my wedding dress made the day before the wedding! /cheeky - it was in Vietnam, after all.
