Oooh, Soul Veg, of course! And Earwax has aweeeeesome vegan Banana Walnut pancakes for breakfast (and is nearly less than a block from the train stop). They have awesome public transportation in Chicago, so you'll be all set! Go to the aquarium (if you do aquariums)! I went when I was young and I'm dying to go back. I also want to go to the Natural History museum and see Sue (the big dino in the entryway)! Also, there is a pizza place called Leona's that has a few locations in the city that is VERY vegan friendly and they have an awesome, awesome, awesome vegan burger with your choice of toppings (including avocado and vegan cheese). Plus, I think it's like $8 for the burger and soup/salad. There is a location that is nearish to the Chicago Diner, too, so you can get dinner at Leona's and pop into the Chicago Diner for dessert! I've not eaten at enough veggie places in Chiacgo yet, because Shawn always wants to eat at this mexican place that he loves! I can't wait to just move there and eat everything! :)

haha. i was looking at earwax. i was thinking to myself "now THAT'S a place i should check out!" hahaha.
(and yeah, i'm kind-of against aquariums. :-( they make me sad)

i've heard so much about the chicago diner!!! and soul veg... man, my mouth is watering. *wipes drool* does the pizza place do vegan cheese? (they're not affiliated with gianna's, are they? i was walking by gianna's last week, and i noticed they have a different sign out front. nowhere do they mention vegan. i was cracking up. jerkfaces)

I haven't been there myself but I've heard insanely amazing things about Charlie Trotter's if you're up for a fancy and expensive meal!

since we're going to be there for such a short time, i think we're going to stick to the fully vegan places.

(we've had some bad experiences at ritzy/expensive places, so why put ourselves through that if there are "better" places to eat?)

haha. :-) sorry.

although, do you have any suggestions on non-food things to do?

Hello! Just flew back from Chicago. Feel free to talk to me about the Windy City and I hope we can meet up since I am a few streets away. Perhaps we can go to the health foodstore on Haddon?

totally!

i'd still be interested in starting up a monthly collingswood potluck if you'd like to.

are you back for good?

(and i thought you'd say broadway.) :-)

had you heard that healthworks' owner craig recently passed away? it was cancer. i wonder if the store will close now. :-/ i wonder if it'd be for sale. i'd be willing to take it over. collingswood needs a healthfood store.
