there's a funny thing about emotion.

Families can be pretty weird.

I'll be the first say that I've grown up in one of those "ideal" families. Middle Class, Dad had a stable job. Mom was mostly stay at home. Except for when she worked as a substitute at my grade school and then later ran a daycare.

My parents will be celebrating 30 years next year. Hard to believe in this day and age. But they have the best marraige of anybody I know. They've had rough times sure. But we always knew that with my folks divorce would never be an option. Helped give security.

So basically I don't have anything to complain about with my folks. I didn't much like them when I was a teenager. Of course that comes with the territory. Still there are times when they drive me up the wall.

Summer is a busy time for my family. We have relatives from all around visiting. There's usually a big family dinner every weekend. And scattered throughout the week there are other activities.

It wasn't until I came up to College and was attending summer courses that I learned that pretty much the entire summer is long party for my fam.

Why do I bring all this up? My Mom always gets on my case about not going out with girls enough or not "living the life". Yet finally for the first summmer since I started College I'm doing just that.

Now she's getting annoyed because I keep missing the daily activities because I'm up here often with girls.

Ugh. It's late I don't want to turn this into a rant. I'll post part too tomorrow.
