Work has been really boring; so I'm glad I get to do something fun and more exciting, like kennels, over the weekend. Am going to pick the house up a bit in anticipation of Mom, Dad and camicizam's arrival late tomorrow night. I was on phone duty today at work, which I hate. I registered to take the CLEP test for Spanish (test is late August) in hopes that I can CLEP out of Beg Spanish 1 and 2 and fulfill two liberal education requirements that I'd like to get out of the way.
There's been an extra amount of whispering around the offices today because of a student that got arrested for child pornography (he was living on campus over the summer). He was a friend of mine, and I had no clue. As if that wasn't enough controversy, yet another front page article featuring the college hit press today concerning a Government teacher giving extra credit to students who helped a Northland student's city council election race. Extra credit was not offered to those who helped the opponent in the race.
I've been eyeing the dogs at the kennels and haven't found a suitable, easily trainable therapy dog as of yet. But, there really isn't a rush. Melissa set a January 8th date for her wedding. My classes start back Jan 11th, so it will be a bit of a push for me.
Roy's busy working on a special project near the Canadian border. They are having to hand saw a bunch of trees because they can't use chainsaws in the area of the state they're at currently. He doesn't think he'll be around for his break next week; which sucks. I'm eyeing ebay for a new cell phone, but I have some important bills to pay first. I just don't make enough money!
