kickass weekend

alright, so this weekend wasn't too bad. i still haven't hung out with as many friends as i would like, but i shall get around to that. ummm, lets see, highlights of the past few days......

thursday i went to lunch with my dad, his secretary and my brother to bob evans. that was good eats, and our waiter is hilarious. he's pretty good friends with my dad & his secretary b/c they eat there about once every other week. plus bob evans has the best breakfast food around, so thats pretty sweet. afterwards i went to the oral surgeon to set up my appt for my wisdom teeth removal. after getting looked at and whatnot, we set it up for this coming tuesday, which i was happy about. i mostly just didn't want it to be on the 28th, b/c that is the nite of a big party, and i am really excited about it. but there's more on that later. first tho, after i got back i headed straight out to walt's center lanes w/ my older bro b/c a couple of my friends are on the cov cath bowling team, and we wanted to catch a match. it was pretty fun actually, they beat calvary christian even tho they didn't bowl spectacularly. and i saw bedinghaus, first time in a while. we chatted a bit and got caught up on old times. it was fun. then after i got back my mom informed me that she had switched my appt for my wisdom teeth. i was just like "why?!! what was wrong with tuesday?!" and she was like "i just remembered we had tickets to the xavier game that nite, so we couldn't do it then." as she's saying this i'm thikning "i bet she made it the 28th," and i asked her when she changed it to and she was like "the 28th" and i was like "BAAAAHHHHH!!! RESCHEDULE IT NOW!!" and she was like "that was the only open day" then i asked about switching back to the original date and she was like "we'll see", which means no. so i tried calling back the next day and they were like "sorry, we've already filled that spot". so basically, i'm screwed. hoooray for mothers changing plans!! woot!! yea, that pisses me off a bit.

friday i picked up my little bro after his exams and run into mista clines and mr z and we shot the crap for a little bit, talked sports mostly, thats what we usually talk about. they are principal and vice-principal at my high school, and both loved my hair, btw. after that we went to lunch at applebees, and right as we entered i saw sarah, michelle, danielle & landwehr leaving. that was pretty cool. and so was christina coming back in to say hi. i must admit, that was pretty awesome. what was hilarious tho, was our gay(?) waiter. not in the same bob evans-way. this guy was soooooooo out there. i knew it would be interested when he strode up to our table and said "soooo, what are we drinking today" (said with a gay accent). then he proceeded to mess up part of everybody's order at our table. and 1 time, my little bro still hadn't received part of his meal like 5-10 minutes after the rest of us, and my mom stopped him and told him, and the whole time she was talking to him he was staring at the ground and didn't say a word. then he just quickly walked away and i think i heard him mumble under his breath "i'll get YOUR meal" with more incoherent angry grumbling. it took everything i had to not laugh at this, but i couldn't help myself. and he said "oo, i am SOOOOO sorry" like a million times (each with gay overtones) and it made me chuckle (i did hold it until he was out of sight tho). it was so hilarious.

also that nite i went to the cov cath drama class' play "the history of america (abridged)". it's a comedy, there are some fairly funny jokes. i saw more peeps there, but i didn't really get to chat that much with them. i was also catching up with jon hancock, whom i am semi-friends with and hadn't seen since graduation. it was nice to hear what he was up to. overall, the play was pretty good. i would say when they put it on 2 years ago tho, it was better.

saturday morning to afternoon i worked at the basketball league. it was alright i suppose. i was mad that i missed the uk game, esp after they came back to win! i wish i coulda seen it. that nite i went to newport and saw the walton nicholson band concert. the band is a bunch of my friends' and i hadn't seen them play since late july, so i needed to take in a show. to be honest, they freakin kicked ass. fo rizzle. i suggest everyone go see them at some point, if u want info on when they are playing next, just gimme a buzz. they are awesome, seriously.

today was pretty sweet. i went to the bengals-bills game, hell yea!!!! despite the fact that it was below freezing and sub-zero temperature with wind chill, i toughed the elements to see my 2 favorite teams play my favorite sport. i thought it was pretty sweet, cuz i didn't really care who won, i instinctively root for the bengals, but the bills are fighting for a playoff spot (after starting 0-4), so if they won i wouldn't mind. and the bills did win, to the delight of the surprisingly numerous bills fans in our section, including 4 seated directly in front of me. i thought it was pretty cool too, 1 of the guys turned around and started talking to me for a bit, it was sweet. o btw, my older bro went also, i was not there alone, randomly mingling with buffaloans. altho that would have been pretty cool.

yea, but the game was freezing. by the 3rd quarter i could not feel my toes and selected fingers. in fact, as i sit here now and type this, they are still cold. but its a great story, as the 1 dude in front of me said "i love this so much. i don't care if its below zero, snowing, home or road, i love this". i couldn't agree more.
