well, it wasn't really madness, but that gives it a better title. monday i got my wisdom teeth out, as promised. it was....alright i guess. i was just really really really tired for the most part. that I.V., it did a number on me. i was in and out thru most of the day, couldnt really concentrate on anything. i woke up a little more that nite tho, kinda snapped outta it.
yea, the following days tho, i didnt do much of anything but lie around, watch tv, and pop advil. tues i tried to watch all extended lord of the rings, but due to a late start and numerous interruptions, i stopped after the 2nd, cuz it was late and i was getting kinda tired.
thurs was ncaa tournament, and i watched a lot of it! uk scared me a little, in that they did not blow out eastern. altho they are incapable of blowing anyone out, so i guess i shouldnt have been too surprised. uc handled iowa surprisingly well, which set up the showdown of the tournament (more on that later tho, since i know u care to hear about it). yea, and basically sat around watching basketball that nite.
friday stuff happened. i got a haircut, a large haircut. i think i lost 2 or 3 inches, sad story. then i went to the doctor so he could check up on my healing, and he said it looked great, no infection or anything, and that i could basically go back to normal diet. i was happy to hear this, u can only have so much pudding, ice cream and milkshakes for meals b4 u start craving something solid. it sounds weird but its true, that other stuff doesnt fill u up. also, i ran into stambaugh at the doctors office, he was "getting his teeth yanked". that was a cool bump into. afterwards me and my mama went to frisch's for a nice luncheon, then she hit up some stores to return clothes and the like, and then we went to barnes & noble out there and i got a peanut butter cup cookie, which was muy bueno. then watched bball for a bit (what else was i to do), b4 i headed up to st agnes for my dad's bball team's party (he coaches). basically, i went up there for dinner (pizza) and then left shortly after. this was b/c while i was there steve mcqueen called me and we agreed to hit up the play that nite. so i met him up there, and the play was great, naturally. i think i enjoyed it more the 2nd time than the 1st actually tho. it was wonderfully acted by everyone tho. seriously, spectacular job everyone! i was quite impressed (impressed enough to see it twice anyway). anyways, after the play me and steve hit up b-dubs for a snack and some bball action. good times, 2 of the managers recognized my resemblance to napoleon dynamite and just randomly started talking to me about it. it was kinda fun tho, in a way. the whole excursion was good times.
o yea, and i must give props to steve for his "lock of the nite". he called b4 the games started that vermont would beat syracuse, and they did, so mad props to him. and how about bucknell over kansas?! what a huge upset, gotta hand it to the bison tho, they just wanted it more. and ga tech and schenscher (my boy!) took care of business against gw and pops (my other boy!), which i was glad to see.
ok, so saturday not much happened for a while. around 5ish we went to some german restaurant in covington (wartheim's maybe? i forget its name really) for my grandma's 75th bday dinner. that was decent eats, fun times w/ some extended family. then we went to my gma's house and had cake and all that jazz. i watched the 1st half of the big uk-uc game down there, but i had to leave at halftime, too many uc fans for my liking. ok, sidebar on how huge this game was: it was THE topic of conversation around n ky for the time leading up to the game. families were divided even more so than in 40s and 50s presidential elections over this. u could walk up to a complete stranger and strike up a conversation with them about who they were for, and other ppl would join in w/ their input (this actually did happen, and at the play, of all places!) it was such a big deal tho, it was incredible. and the fans showed that, setting a single session record for a 2nd round game, 40,000+ at the rca dome to see it. u could feel it watching the game, too. the players were stepping it up to another level from both sides, and everybody was getting into it. it was intense! so anyways, i came home and watched the 2nd half at my house. ahhh, good times, uc became uc in the final 3 minutes or so and uk was able to pull away, to my delight. as j dunc said "it was a good win. now the uc fans can shut up for another 15 yrs." u know if uc would have won all their fans would not have let it go, but would have continued their arrogant, big talk ways. it will shut them up til, oh, november maybe, but that is still better than nothing.
sorry. ok, so after the game i headed over to michelle's for a happening post-play partay. it was great times! ran into schrand for the 1st time in a while and got some good chatting time in w/ him. watched the end of the west virginia-wake forest game, that was pretty crazy. good times hangin out w/ alex, laura, lara, lindsey, j dunc, winnike and many others who i, unfortunately, could not talk to more. o yea, and i got to hang out w/ lauren for the 1st time in a looooooong while also. that was pretty cool. overall, it was a very good time.
today i cleaned my dad's office b/c it is an easy way to make money. i had pizza for lunch. it was good. i came back here. i got situated. i ate k lair with mike and jo. we ran into payne and allison. it was fun hangin out times. jo gave me a bracelet. i am wearing it right now. i will take it off when i try to sleep. i am also listening to a song from phantom of the opera right now. i am enjoying it. me and alex will go see phantom on saturday. it will be amazing. and in case u wondered, i am not gay, just because i listen to phantom while wearing a bracelet. i am growing tired of writing in my live journal. esp this last paragraph. has that become evident? it def should by now. i think i will stop writing. cant decide whether i'll sleep now or not tho. maybe. i just breathed in real deep. one of those long sighs that u know is ur body saying "hey, ur tired". so yea. and despite having fun times at home (sandwiched around the tooth thing), i am quite glad to be back at uk. in much the same way, i hope that u, cyberspace, have had fun times reading this ultra-lengthy journal entry. i waited too long to update again. i will try to keep them shorter in the future, but no promises. well, hope everyone has a wonderful week. it is officially spring now! and only 1 week til easter!
