i love not having to do stuff on christmas break. sophomore year i had a huge timeline to work on for my world civ class, junior year i had to build a bridge for my physics class, and last year i had to write a large paper for my religion class. it is nice this year to not hafta do any of that stuff or worry about it. and while we are on the subject of school, i just checked my grades yesterday (what can i say, i wasn't too worried about it), and i got 5 a's in 5 classes. so hooray for that, it felt awesome. partially b/c i wasn't sure if i would get an a or b in my bio lecture class, cuz i needed to get an 88 for an a, and my studying for it consisted of reading the book from 130-630 am the nite/morning of the exam. but apparently i did well enough, so insomnia wins again.
god that sounded so weird.
on a different note, my mom bowls in a bowling league with other women. don't worry, i'm going somewhere with this. they usually bowl on weds mornings, but due to the snow last week, they rescheduled for monday. me and asman had plans to go bowling monday morning and then our mothers would take us out to lunch, and then hang out for a while. we actually usually do this atleast once every christmas break, and it has been going on for a while. so we showed up there monday morning, but they said the women couldn't bowl b/c the city of ft mitchell had the lanes reserved starting at 11, and they figured they could not bowl 3 games in an hour. so instead, we went to frisch's and ate the breakfast buffet. yuuummmmmmm. then after that i went back to his house and we hung out for a while, just playing video games and stuff. his older brother was there also, and we hung out and chatted and got caught up and everything. he asked me a lot of stuff about my 1st semester, b/c he also went, and is going, to uk. it has been 4-5 yrs since his freshman year tho, so he was interested in how much stuff had changed and whatnot. so yea, then that nite my mom went out for a ladies nite out with the other females on my dad's side of the family and left us to get our own supper. we picked up larosa's. my dad was peeved b/c he ordered a salad, and there were only like 2 small tomatoes in it, and no croutons b/c apparently larosa's had run out of croutons. and according to my dad "croutons make or break the salad". i'm not gonna say anything about this tho, b/c i don't really like salad period, or croutons for that matter, so it does not appeal to me. o yea, and that nite me & brother matt and brother andy watched the most recent harry potter. it was good times.
yesterday kicked ass. i went with my 2 older brothers to barnes & noble on the levee to spend gift cards. i bought 3 cds. it further illustrated my eclectic taste in music. they were "chicago's greatest hits 1982-89", "duncan sheik--self-entitled", and "led zeppelin-houses of the holy". if it means anything, zeppelin was the 1st i picked out, and the 1 i have listened to the most to this point. the rain song is freaking amazing, i suggest u download it or something. its good just to sit and listen to and chill. i was also mad b/c barnes & noble was low on cds, such as no coldplay, coheed & cambria, or when in rome. i will hafta acquire them some other way i guess. last nite was michelle & jenna's laser tag party. 3 words: best party ever! laser tag kicks so much ass it is unbelievable. and we had the place rented out, and they insisted that they needed atleast like 26 ppl for a game, so u could pretty much play as much as u want. and it was with a bunch of ppl i had not seen in a while, so it was pretty sweet. o yea, and it was weird, on the way back to kentucky after it, we were on 275 on our way back to 75 to go south. except that the 75 sign disappeared. we saw a 71 sign, but we took 75 up there. so we went past the 71 sign first, but then realized that we hadn't gone that far the 1st time, so came back and took 71 south. but it was weird b/c none of us had seen the 75 sign. methinks it disappeared, possibly into some alternate universe or something. idk. so after the party me, cj, alex and laura headed to the coffeeshop, but no one was there cuz ppl had just left to go to the anchor. so we met liz, lara, morgan and joe there and pretty much just hung out. then after i was dropped off back home, b/c my car would not start yesterday, and it was getting to be too late for me to be out. atleast thats what my parents thought anyway.
and this morning i went bowling again. i was not really that interested in the bowling to be honest. i basically tried in the 1st 3 frames, 2 of which i had 7-10 splits in and just said fuck it and went on being weird the rest of the time, like writing my brothers' scores like i was drunk. but then it got to the 8th frame and i had a 75, and i have not bowled under 100 since i was in 6th grade, so i was determined not to bowl under 100. so i focused the last 2 frames and finished with a 114, which oddly enough still beat my little brother. but he bowled bad the 1st game, and then the 2nd game bowled a 171. and my mama (it was a league day this morning) bowled 172, 180 and 200 today. yes, we arnolds know how to bowl. and now my tummy is growling for lunch. later fools.
