Elizabeth Dole has lost her mind
THIS is like some sick joke and it makes me extremely angry. for the link phobic, it's NC senator elizabeth dole's suggestion that jesse helms' name be added to the title of a bill that supports research for HIV/AIDS (among other diseases).
this is obscene and beyond the pale. jesse helms was a disgusting, hateful, ignorant, bigoted piece of human waste who fought against integration, civil rights, women's rights, gay rights, HIV/AIDS research, modern art, and just about anything that would help the cause of progress in the united states. for dole to suggest that his name be added to a bill in support of HIV/AIDS research is a perverse attempt to rewrite history. it literally makes me want to vomit.
