So I went to three radio holiday concerts last weekend. I ended up helping PETA and therefore getting a VIP pass that got me into the hospitality areas. Hello free food and beer! I didn't take as much advantage as I should've, but I definitely had plenty of water, a tiny bit of beer, and some food. The Orlando one was the best. So everywhere I went, like, backstage or whatever, I ran into Bob (from MCR), and that was exactly who I wanted to see. He's so adorable. They all are though.
MCR played two of the three shows. The first day I walked through the backstage area (my pass wasn't good for that, but I flipped it over and walked through and no one stopped me.) I didn't see anyone out and about back there until I was just about to walk into the venue and there was Bob. He remembered me (they all ended up remembering me, even Worm their bodyguard) and we talked for a few minutes as he walked into the venue to shop at some of the vendors. Some people didn't even recognize him and others were too scared to go up to him. Later on they had a signing for everyone (300 people) who bought the CD for $15. I bought it, even though I already have it. They ended up not taking our wristbands at first, so we gave ours to some girls who weren't able to get them. They needed the CD to go through the line, so I gave them all but my booklet and charged them $20 ($10 each). They insisted on giving me $30 though. Everyone was there except Frank. After the show, Gerard and Frank came out and hung out with a group of like 12 of us by the buses, even though it was raining. They are soooo cute and soooo nice and soooo funny. Pictures to come later. It was Ruby's birthday the next day and Frank told us the secret to getting old-- "wearing your pajamas under your clothes," lol, which is what he appeared to be doing.
The next day they had drawings for meet & greet passes. We didn't win, nor did we get in another way. After the show was over we walked around to the bus area, which was blocked off by a guarded fence. I walked around the corner trying to find people to give me their all access pass. Eventually, I said fuck it and just walked in (around the corner from where the guards were). I'm really good at that now. Before I knew it I was in the backstage area. I saw Bob and Ray pushing around equipment, which I thought was weird especially since they had finished playing about an hour ago. So I stood around back there. Eventually they let the pee off the buses which is always gross. So I moved and stood around some more. Then I was on the phone with Ruby and she said that Bob was coming out. So I walked out, and it was Gerard. So I stood and talked to Worm for few minutes. Gerard gave me two hugs. I didn't have time to tell him a story that I've been forgetting to tell him, but that's okay. Then he left, then they all left (on the bus).
I went to a taping for the new TV show iVillage live last Thursday. It's based on the web site, and it's interactive. It tapes at Universal, but I don't know if that's a temporary home or a permanent home. I think it's a permanent home though because the hosts were talking about how they moved their families here. It sucked because they were short on people so they recruited from park guests and offered them a free lunch voucher. We didn't get that, but it's okay because they did a segment on perfume and everyone in the audience got a full size Estee Lauder perfume that retails for $45! I went again today and got a Chi round ceramic brush. That's worth at least $20. It will be airing on Bravo at 9AM (Tuesday), and then the live one I think is from noon to 1:00. Look for me in a bright pink fleece!
I am going to Fall Out Boy in Detroit on Wednesday, because I just bought 4 tickets on eBay for $0.89 and $10.00 shipping! LOL. There were sooo many auctions that ended low for them, but this was one of the best. $10.89 for $120 (plus service charge) worth of tickets! This is my best deal ever, a record previously held by 2 Sarah Brightman tickets for $40 regular $140. Hopefully they arrive in time because the seller doesn't seem to bright.
Corey is so cute [to me]. I'm sorry, lol, I'm watching the new Slipknot DVD. It actually kind of sucks so far but there's been like two seconds that were good.
Today I went to Big Lots and got a bunch of stuff but I'm most excited about the hot chocolate. I got two tins, one regular chocolate and one that also has espresso in it.
