Scarsdale Library=so COOL

I am so glad I switched libraries. The people at Scarsdale are so much nicer, the hours are longer and they always have what I want. Today I took out White Teeth by Zadie Smith, a mulatta like me, First Love, Last Rites, Ian McEwan's first collection of short stories and a Joan Lunden cookbook and an American Heart Association Nutritional book. I decided I can't go on that low-carbohydrate shit. I'm not going to deny myself my favorite foods. Anyway I'm also thinking of joining NY Sports Club (I went over to the Equinox web site, that place looks extremely pricey.) New York Sports Club has cable tvs attached to their treadmills. That really almost sealed the deal for me. Oh yeah I also go the Harry Potter book. The last one. I just liked the movie so much. And I was watching a bit of the first one. The accepted criticism of the first one is that it adhered too closely to the book. Since I haven't read the book though that wasn't a problem for me; maybe the real problem is that everyone was thinking too much about the book when they saw the movie. Anyhow I have to go to "work" in an hour and a half. I think it's going to be pretty easy. I failed to take advantage of my discount in a significant way this weekend, but it's all right. It's still 33%. I'm going to make a mixtape tonight. It's really fun doing that. Joan has psyched me up about losing weight. Some of her recipes look really good. Ok I'm going to read a little Harry Potter before I depart.
