2009

So many things have happen this past year that it almost feels surreal that it's ending. Our basement became pretty presentable during the beginning of the year ( so many renovations have happened to that place, psh and now it's a mess again ). I got my first job in 2009, starting with the Diner which I basically learned everything at, such as how rude some people can be, how to waitress and bust tables, how to work a cash register and how to grill burgers and make steak and cheeses. I also learned to much things (in general, not just at the diner) that whenever I read a book or watch a movie I feel as if I understand in a completely different way then I have before. My other "first" job ( I also consider this my first job, because I was working with and under people I did not know, unlike the diner ) was at the creamery, which taught me how to work under stressful situations ( not like I didn't know that before, waitressing BY MYSELF in a full diner at times ) but in a different sort of way. It made me figure out tax in my head and got to scope icecream the proper way :]
The summer for me was completely amazing, looking back on it now. It's seems as if everything I did and everywhere I went was an adventure and I could probably sit down and tell you a million of stories of things I did. Basically over the summer I went just about everywhere in town, BY FOOT OR BIKE. Compared to what I am now, I was so in shape then. xD Jansen and I would go on 6 mile bike rides at about 2 in the morning, just because there was nothing else to do. Trips with my church has changed my perspective on like ( as they always do xD ) and because I've learned from last summer ( 2008 ) with Creation and Roxbury and the Missions Trip in the Bronx, I felt more prepared this year, even though all the experiences where COMPLETELY opposite. ( my blog about NYC is on my facebook, and on here I think? I'm not sure. I don't know if I blogged anywhere about Creation or Roxbury, all I know is I can't wait to get back :] )
All I know is, is that 2009 was mad crazy. Although it had some REALLY crappy parts, the good parts were..well..good :]
I hope 2010 will be so much better. Especially since I'm graduating this year!! Gasp. I'm scared.

2010, new years, 2009, end of the year
