I need help. I can't make decisions on my own.
Should I debate in college?
Yes.
- I love many of the people.
- I've enjoyed debating a lot in the past.
- I feel sort of obligated to.
No.
- It will consume all of my time. I know I have a tendency towards addiction. It even runs in my family (we have lots of alcoholics, smokers, etc.) If I debate, it will take up all of my time.
- I am scared of the K.
- I will see the Lexington crew in Lexington.
- I feel like I'm already out of the loop on the college team. Everyone is already there and has done a fuckload of work. I'm not, and I haven't. I don't have a definite debate partner. I'm not scheduled to go to the first tournament.
- I sort of hate debate. I think I'm "burned out" from TOC.
What should I do? It would be ideal if everyone had a really clear idea and there was a gigantic war in my comments. I need there to be actual clash (please don't point out the irony of my use of a debate term) between the two sides. Thanks.
