Chapter 1

Dec 03, 2009 18:18

Hello~ This is my first attempt to actually complete a novel. Or at least a short story. I might just stop (because I'm most likely talking to myself) if no one is commenting. Please, critic me all you want ^^

Before I start: Please note that all of the content is purely fictional, any relation to your personal life is just coincidental. Except for Sungmin. I should have used the name Kibum instead. It's more common right? I chose the name Sungmin because I was too lazy to think of a common Korean name... Until recently Kibum popped up, but I'm too lazy to change it.

Blue Tomorrow- Chapter 1:

Heartbreaker, Serena stared at the album, it was hers at last. G Dragon, with blonde hair, almost melting into the white background, leaving the red apple with a heart carved on it in focus. She stared, she melted too. She thought how true this word was, Heartbreaker.

On the live messenger that night, Elena met Serena online. Her feelings poured out to Serena, the disappointment, the tension, the doubt that has been nagging her for so long proved true. Elena turned in that night, with only a heavy heart.

“Elena! Long time no see! How were the holidays? ” Serena shouted from the entrance of the classroom to Elena sitting at the corner. Serena, as usual, slung her guitar on her shoulders. Serena had soft, dark brown hair that would shine golden brown in the sunlight. She had brown eyes that though she did not know it, could drown anyone. Elena had her brown hair pulled back into a ponytail, her radiant bright smile showing on her face. It would soon disappear. Chit chatting, the conversation from last night continued. A dry voice echoed from the poor PA system, “Would class 408 please stay in class for morning assembly.”

The door swung open, and everyone scattered to their seats, when Ms Loh stepped in. “Good morning Ms Loh,” the class chanted warily. It was going to be a long day. “Good morning class. The reason we are in class today is because we will be expecting somebody from another school. They have transferred here and I hope you can give your warmest welcome. Also,” Ms Loh paused, “there will be thirteen overseas students staying here for a month and I know they will receive your warmest welcome.” As if on cue, a furtive knock on the door was heard. “Come in!!” Ms Loh smiled. But beside Serena, Elena drew a sharp breath.

Drake. And Stefan. It could not be. “No,” Elena gasped, and did not say more. “Since the seat behind Serena and Elena are empty, you two can sit there,” Ms Loh pointed to the two empty seats. The two boys nodded, but both kept their eyes on Elena, and Elena stared right back, into some endless memories. Then, another knock came, this time, Serena drew her breath.

“Hello, we are-” One of the visitors attempted to introduce themselves, but got cut off. “Ah! You must be the overseas students from Korea! How wonderful!” Ms Loh’s smile grew even wider. Serena just stared, in her eyes; the emotions could not be shielded. She was filled with happiness, Koreans, all so good looking. Serena looked at each of the faces, but when she came eye to eye with a boy, a rush of sudden happiness came over her, and it was hard to shield the truth that would be spilt from her feelings. He had soft, dark brown hair, a pair of eyes that could drown anyone when they looked into it, and from his posture, he was a great dancer. Serena could not help but let her eyes look into his but she forced herself to look at others. “Serena, since you don’t have a lot on your hands right now, you’ll be in charge of our overseas students,” Ms Loh voiced dryly, and with a sudden change, she swept back into her jolly attitude, “So, let’s have a self intro then! We’ll start with you,” She motioned for the first person on the left to start, but Serena did not need to know. She already knew too much.

“Hello, I’m Jung Su.” “Hello, I’m Han Kyung.” Serena stared, the voices became no more. A sharp poke on her arm brought her back to the classroom. On her table was a piece of paper reading Hey Ser, the brothers we talked about yesterday is here. She looked at Elena, and the memories of yesterday’s conversation online came flooding back. She wrote back, the person I was talking about is here too. “Elena! You’ll be the new students’ buddy,” and Ms Loh eyed at Serena, and for a brief instant, Serena saw that menacing look. “Serena, since you are in charge, you will have a buddy too, Sungmin is your buddy.” The tall dude that had soft, brown hair slipped into the empty seats beside her. Serena sighed, now she knew what that empty seat was for. Before anyone had a chance to say hello, the bell rang.

“Oh, there goes the bell! But no matter, it’s still my lesson, and we’ll set it aside, since the exams are over, to get to know each other,” Ms Loh decided. Serena and Elena both sighed. “Serena, I want to talk to you,” Ms Loh said. Serena stepped to Ms Loh, sighing as she did. Ms Loh gave her a lecture, nagging her, as the talk went on, the load on Serena’s shoulder increased. She had to plan a trip to a Singapore attraction for the overseas ‘students’ and a class performance when they were going to leave. However, she was allowed to let one person help her. Serena quickly smothered her smile, thinking that Ms Loh would not be happy to see her happy about this almost impossible task that was set to make her life hard.

As Ms Loh finished, Serena rushed back to her seat. She slowed her steps as she saw that Elena was focusing on Sungmin rather than to the new students. She drew her breath and walked forward, but when she reached, a cold feeling swept through her. Sungmin saw that again and wondered what was wrong with this girl. “Hello, I’m Serena, nice to meet you. I know you will enjoy your stay here,” Serena greeted the newcomer quietly. Eyeing at Elena, she told her to get to know her buddies more instead of Serena’s. “So…”Serena trailed off, “Ha, I’m a little awkward with new people… Sorry… I’ll start of with a self introduction, I’m Serena, I like dancing, and I can tell you like it to.”Hearing that, Sungmin nodded doubtfully. Seeing Sungmin’s quietness, Serena could not help but let the smile tug at the side of her mouth.

“Uh…Hi…I guess we don’t need any self intro huh? We already know each other,” Elena smiled uncomfortably. “Yeah, whatever.” Stefan dismissed her remark like flicking away dust from his shoulder. But Drake kept quiet and kept eyeing at the two of them. Elena sensed the anxious stare from Drake and shot him a glare. No, the deal made should never be broken, or else she felt she would melt into a hole. Elena avoided staring right at Stefan, she felt she would flush and fly into the air if she did. Her heart pumped wildly. How could she have a crush on someone whom she disliked? Not hated, just disliked. His rudeness gets on everyone’s nerve. Drake, however, was different. He was polite, not so rude, but he could not keep a secret from anyone, unless someone guards his mouth.

“Look, I didn’t want to come here okay, and seeing you, just made it worse,” Stefan shot the arrow right at Elena. Beside Elena, Serena cast a hot, burning stare at Stefan, staring him down, boring him until he felt like he was melting. “Stefan,” she started, on a voice way to soft, Elena knew, “You’re new, I know who you are, I know Elena…” Elena drew a sharp breath, “I know my temper, and trust me, you don’t want to know it.” Finishing with a brief glance that had Stefan shaken a little, she turned back to Sungmin. Elena tensed, wondering what to do after the awkward moment. Drake broke it by commenting, “She’s scary.” Stefan just stared through Elena, in his heart, he was elated by the fact that Elena was just in front of him, but worried that he had just left the worst impression on Elena’s all-so-scary friend.

Serena was overjoyed by the fact that Stefan was here, just right in front of Elena, but why was he so rude to her? And Drake was just such a giveaway. Caught up in her thoughts like a fish caught in a net, Serena jumped when Sungmin spoke up in a quiet voice that was only audible to Serena, “Elena likes Stefan, the new guy, right?” Shocked, Serena felt herself breaking into cold sweat. Great, the new guy knows. “Hey, Drake’s face reveals everything, and so does Elena’s face. I’m not a baby you know,” Sungmin continued when Serena gave no reply. Finally, she looked up at him and whispered,
“Don’t say a word.”

No more was said, an air of awkwardness drifted above the five people.

Haha, how is it? I don't think it's really interesting =.= Guess which one is me!! It's easier to write when you actually put yourself as one of them. (: hope it's not a fail
