After being confused by the many steps and procedures one has to go through to legally purchase a handgun in New Jersey, I'm pleasantly surprised by how relatively simple the process is here in Virginia. Assuming I did my research correctly, it looks like I need neither a permit to purchase nor a license to own a handgun. I don't need to register it, either (this seems strange to me, I hope I understand that correctly). The only permit I really need is for concealed carry.
http://www.cdnninvestments.com is offering a pretty good deal on the 9mm Sig SP2022. They can't print the price in their latest PDF catalog, but some of the members on the Sig forums have said that it's selling for $399, which includes night sights, two grips, and two 15 round magazines (damn!). Virginia requires a background check on all firearms buyers, so I wonder how these online retailers in other states deal with that. I am very tempted by this deal, as well as the new 2010 model Raleigh Record Ace road bike that will be hitting the stores soon - lugged Reynolds steel frame with full Ultegra gruppo for about $1700. Pretty sweet. Too bad I have to save up for my wedding...
There is something about this picture that I find very sweet and touching. I can almost feel the chilly air and the snow crunching underneath my feet, as well as smell the scent of the girl's hair, and how warm it would feel against my cold-numbed face.
