I never heard of them until I caught an episode of Hannah Montana... and then my Husband came home with about 24 cans of the stuff half a year later...

From what I understand it's a 'southern thing'

I'm glad someone asked and it's already answered it. I was about to Google it and I actually have cans of "Whole Kernel Sweet Corn". :-P

The dish sounds delicious! I'll be trying it this weekend. :D
