Weather Update
OKay, time for a weather update.
The water's gone down but there's still o deliveries here, the lorries can't get past Golspie (about an hours drive) which is flooded which means no papers, milk and bread.
Quite exciting really, I've been talking to my in town friends and Wick's river burst it's banks and Thurso was almost at that point, two of the foot bridges were under the water and houses were being evacuated in both towns. Thurso high school was the only one to stay open all through yesterday and emergency services were coming to Caithness.
Landslides at Scrabster and on the train tracks so no North running trains in the highlands. My Dad finally made it down to Houston station when the sleeper train eventually left at midnight due to flooding at Pitlochery. My Dad relayed back to us all the sights on the road down, water up to the car doors and loads of drowned sheep. We've lost a couple of trees in the garden during the night, some are leaning on others so we'll need to remove them toot sweet.
