On Saturday, I went to
anime_chef 's birthday beach party. I've never been to Doheny Beach before. Actually, I rarely go to the beach. A lot of people I know who don't leave near a beach think that everybody in LA loves going to the beach. I go about twice a year. If you don't like swimming, surfing, boating, etc., there aren't too many exciting things to do at the beach. I got a bit lost and I didn't know that I would have to go halfway to San Diego, but I eventually made it. It turned out to be a really nice beach day. I was a little worried about the weather, but it was okay. There was plenty of good food as usual. We got to play beach volleyball on a much better court than we had last time. The sand was really nice and didn't cut anybody up. I ended up jamming a few fingers. This morning, I still couldn't completely straighten them, but they're doing much better now. They're just a little sore. We ended the day with a bonfire. We used a bunch of weird wood that looked like it was the remains of somebody's house. There were a few pieces that consisted of several beams of wood that were still nailed together. We threw them in the fire anyways without breaking them apart. We had a nice crackly fire with a lot of embers popping out. It was a good time.
Today, I went to the gym for the first time in awhile. I haven't gone since Wednesday and I really started to miss going to the gym. I wanted to go back. My schedule has been really weird since Wednesday. I've been doing a lot of wacky things in the evening. I miss my workouts and watching my Korean dramas the most. I really want to get things back to normal for awhile. The afternoon was spent doing laundry, playing Rock Band, and watching basketball. I didn't do too badly with the drumming even with a few messed up fingers. I was so far off with my basketball prediction. Some of the games were exciting. Orlando let me down. It was interesting to watch the news and all of the hooliganism that's been going on Downtown. They burned stuff. They looted a shoe store and a gas station. This is one of the reasons why I'm not such a big a basketball fan. I don't like people tearing apart the city. People only do this when the Lakers win. Nothing really happened with the Angels, or the Ducks, or the Galaxy.
I've been running myself pretty ragged for the past few days. I don't have a lot of energy these days. I've been wanting to go to sleep really early. Tomorrow is Monday. It's back to work and I don't feel rested. That's not good.
